Abussos is a mini-setting: a single city - a large town, really - that can stand on its own or can nestle into Mura's southern mountains. The town hovers over a bottomless pit, from which the summer wind emerges. The bridges and paths that support the town also host dozens of shops, homes, and warehouses.

The city over the pit is the setting of a set of adventures called A Bright Flame in Winter. These adventures take place over the course of one of Abussos' rare winters as an ancient infernal fire spirit summons its strength. The spirit manipulates the heads of families to create conflict in the town above, and players must work to untangle the real reasons for the fighting before the spirit is released.
